Job Description

ABOUT THE JOB

Execute the production schedule, as laid out by the production planner. This role will be responsible for ensuring the schedule is properly communicated to affected departments on the floor. In addition, this role will gather information from Associates (such as material issues and/or down time) and communicate roadblocks to the Production Planner.

YOUR ROLE

• Create the daily production schedule for assigned work centers and/or functions
• Review and manage backlog for assigned work centers
• Work daily with production leadership to drive the daily schedule on the floor
• Interface with associates on a daily basis to facilitate communication between the production floor and the scheduling team
• Identify constraints and work with the Production Planner and Management Team to alleviate issues and communicate changes to associates.
• Identify ways to level-load the schedule, based on feedback received from the floor
• Communicate to the team when the schedule, or items surrounding the schedule, are out of alignment.
• Ensure we receive materials in time to align with the production schedule by coordinating all material due dates
• Collect and enter daily productivity data
• Manage departmental and company white boards - post daily metrics
• Collect data and print reports for production meeting
• Track and report on Production Metrics
• As you further understand the Company’s job flow, help to determine project priorities when delays occur and work with the Production Scheduler to modify the schedule according to the Company lead time standards and manufacturing timelines.
• Manage and modify as needed the assigned departmental priority dispatch reports to ensure the timely completion of operational sequences

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Business or business-related field
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs - Strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel
• Experience in a manufacturing environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems
• Experience in a similar support role
