Masis Staffing is looking for a Production Specialist for a local Shipping company in South Portland, ME. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with weekly pay.

1st Shift – Monday – Friday – 7 am – 3:30/4:30 pm - $17.00/hour

The Production Specialist will ensure the proper picking, packing, and shipping of all products in an efficient manner with a focus on quality and safety. The ability to function in both a team environment and on an individual basis to reach stated goals is a must. This position is a key player in maintaining a high standard of quality throughout our organization and its ability to exceed our clients’ expectations.

Three Primary Responsibilities:

Daily Fulfillment

• Fold & sort packing slips, verify packaging & shipping requirements.
• Accurately pick product for each client, based on printed Pick List provided.
• Efficiently pack products for shipment with attention to detail, quality, and safety.
• Scan, label, and sort packages for shipment via specified carriers.
• Follow through with daily reporting, kitting, box counts, etc.

Continuous Improvement Program

• Work with Supervisor to maintain & improve efficiencies.
• Cooperate with time study program.
• Offer constructive feedback for improvements.
• Maintain a clear understanding of all clients specified requirements for fulfillment.
• Assist team members to maximize flow of materials on the line.
• Organize and handle materials without causing damage or loss.

Function as a critical member of the Fulfillment Team

• Be flexible and ready to assist other Production Lines as required.
• Maintain good communication with Supervisors and other team members.
• Follow the housekeeping schedule as directed by your supervisor.
• Cross training is required to reduce staffing issues.

Requirements:

• Must have a working knowledge of the fulfillment process, and the role Production plays in the overall success.
• Have a clear understanding of all clients specified requirements and criteria for fulfillment and the ability to adjust quickly to changes.
• Must be able to follow instructions and perform duties with superior quality and safety in mind.
• Must be able to lift to 40lbs and stand in one position for a lengthy period.
• Organized, reliable, team player, with a strong attention to detail.
• Able to prioritize and adapt to challenges.
• Committed to constant process improvement and best practices.
• Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
