Description

We are excited to launch the search for our new Plant Supervisor. Some of your duties are to:

• Provide direction and support in the daily execution of manufacturing activities

• Steer operations to meet required production in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner

• Provide leadership, technical support and guidance for Shift Supervisors, operators, maintenance and chemist to support production requirements

• Ensure your team complies to all EH&S policies, guidelines, plant redesign and modifications, regulations

• Monitor all aspects of production to identify improvement opportunities

• Support the process chemists and technical department with the implementation of plant improvements

You’ll need to bring experience in:

• Plant efficiency, automation and equipment redesign

• Process Safety Management at a regulated manufacturing site

• Leading teams members with multiple disciplines

• Working well with manufacturing support departments (Maintenance, QC, Logistics etc)

• Batch process operations, reactions and distillation

• Operating in a fast paced team

• MS Office programs

Requirements

• B.S degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent

• A few years of experience in chemical manufacturing (preferred, not essential)

• A few years’ experience supervising direct reports

• PSM experience (preferred, not essential)

• Experience in batch manufacturing of Emulsions, Liquid Dispersions, Solution polymers and/or Monomers (preferred, not essential)
