NOV Fluid Motion Solutions, at our Dayton, OH facility is looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor for our 3rd shift, typical hours will be 11pm- 7am. The right candidate will be driven, goal orientated and a team player.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Supervises, plans and coordinates production for assigned area to include direct and indirect employees. Typically supervises more than 15 employees, multiple departments and possess considerable experience related to the area of responsibility.
  • Ensures that labor is utilized in the most efficient and effective manner.
  • Interface with various groups to include support departments such as engineering, quality and purchasing in addition to vendors and customers to provide the highest quality product and best customer satisfaction.
  • Develops training programs as required to improve employee skills.
  • Actively pursues and suggests operational improvements to enhance quality, improve production, throughput and cost reduction.
  • Lead, mentor change and motivate workers to provide and instill a positive work environment.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems. Interpret specifications, blue prints and work orders in order to assign the appropriate duties to subordinate staff.
  • Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development. Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensure compliance with current federal, state and local regulations. Consult with Human Resources Department as appropriate.
  • Responsible for performance monitoring and evaluation in addition to compensation administration for subordinate employees.
  • Maintains production and attendance records.
  • Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job.
  • Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with state and federal law, the Company ISO Quality Program and procedures, Company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Three (3) years experience in a heavy manufacturing shop environment preferably in a process-oriented shop and/or related industry. Prior supervisory experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge and application of ISO, API and other applicable manufacturing standards and regulations.
  • Must have one (1) year experience operating forklifts.
  • Intermediate knowledge with computer software to include, but not limited to: Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Experience with SAP software preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills in managing difficult client, vendor, audit agencies or customer situations by responding promptly to requests.
  • Proven leadership demonstration to effectively orchestrate human resources and training functions.
  • Strong conflict management and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Strong problem solving skills to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Must demonstrate a proven ability to coordinate, direct and maintain highly confidential work and materials.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills in order to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Must have freedom and willingness to work extended hours and on-call to support production and customer requirements 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
  • Must be able to take and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication and division as it pertains to the job.NOV Fluid Motions Solutions is looking for a Maintenance Technician on 2nd shift at our Dayton, OH facility. This role will require the ability to troubleshoot CNC machining equipment, perform building maintenance tasks, and minor electrical/carpentry/plumbing. Duties and Accountabilities

  • Repair, modify or overhaul all types of machines tools, special machines and production equipment as directed.
  • Plans and completes installation and service of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or electrical equipment.
  • Capable of basic welding.
  • Makes factory building repairs and related equipment repairs as directed.
  • Works from blueprints, sketches, repair manuals and/or verbal instructions.
  • Works with a minimum of supervision and instruction.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks on machines per set intervals.
  • Coordinate and communicate with 1st shift maintenance personnel.
  • Work with equipment vendors (onsite at our facility) on more complex repairs/jobs.
  • Works in a safe manner at all times and may instruct other employees in specific areas of safe use of special equipment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years industrial experience in manufacturing facility maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, and work form verbal instructions with special emphasis placed on welding symbol interpretations.
  • Possess working knowledge in plumbing, carpentry, and electrical circuitry, with emphasis on 3 phase 440/220 volt power systems.
  • Must be able to pass basic maintenance test including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical competencies.
  • Must be physically capable of standing all day, lifting up to 10 lbs frequently, lifting up to 50 lbs infrequently, bending or crouching in confined areas when needed, willingness to work at heights with ladders/lifts (with required fall protection gear), and be capable of using all common hand tools.
