The Production Supervisor will have oversight responsibilities for various phases of production, including the management of resources and people. The Production Supervisor is the first point of contact for production matters, managing interpersonal conflicts and enforcing adherence to approved practices and procedures. He/She demonstrates leadership, a sense of urgency, and provides regular feedback to key stakeholders and management.

People Management

• Manages manufacturing technician expectations and performance, including
• Manage work schedules to achieve operational needs, minimizing the need for overtime
• Review and approve PTO
• Set and monitor training schedule
• All other duties expected of a supervisor

Operations Planning

• Create daily and overnight production plans, including recommendations and solutions regarding safe, effective, & efficient production
• Analyze lot start request and assign lot start schedule
• Plan timing of tool conversions
• Facilitate WIP/Ops morning and evening planning meetings

Operations Management

• Forecast material, equipment, and staffing needs for production flow
• Set priorities and monitor on-shift productivity
• Monitor off-shift productivity, responding to requests from leads
• Escalate off-plan events to management
• Interface with other teams (eg, maintenance & engineering) to maintain smooth and efficient operations
• Retrieve materials from stores for lot starts
• Disposition problem lots and problem tools

Manufacturing Operations

• Maintain qualification equivalent to that of a Manufacturing Technician 3
• Initiate lot starts
• Perform standard technician duties as needed

• High School degree or equivalent
• 3+ years of hands-on work experience in a manufacturing semiconductor environment
• MT 3 level of tool qualifications or Metrology Process Technician qualifications
• Able to effectively manage multiple competing priorities
• Fundamental understanding of all technical aspects related to production
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, focused, and organized
• Results oriented
• Leadership skills relevant to people management and tools/equipment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Associate or Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline
• Supervisory experience
