MaxPak, a TRG company and subsidiary of Schwarz Partners is currently seeking Production Workers (2nd shift) to support our Lakeland, FL facility. As a Production Worker, you will perform all job duties within department with the exception of operator’s set-up.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:

• Does all assistant duties on any machine; hand feeds machine.
• Assist in setting up stacker end.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Mounts of assist in the mounting cutting dies.
• Performs die on repairs which require work with sharp knives.
• Finds and secures dunnage sheets for units and loads.
• Utilizes manual and automatic conveyor system to push loads.
• Stretch wrap units, use corner protectors, and handles special unitization.
• Prepares loads from outside vendors by unloading and removing plastic wrap and strapping.
• Carry heavy sheets from corrugator.
• Operate bundle breaker at the Bobst.
• Stack handful of products and bundles using stacking device.
• Does bundling and stretch wrap units.
• Lifts heavy objects, up to 70 LBS by hand and cleans work area: Note any objects over 50 lbs will be recommended to be handled by two members.
• Assist operator with manual adjustments; does quality checks.
• Ability to work overtime as the job requires.
• Perform machine cleanup daily, weekly and monthly.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or GED.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Ability to add, to subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to use tape measure; and to use a computer.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees of the organization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
