Job Summary:
The Rocky Mountain Prevention Research Center (RMPRC) in the Colorado School of Public Health at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus has an opening for a full-time Professional Research Assistant (PRA) in the Denver area. The RMPRC’s mission is to enhance the health and well-being of children and their families living in CO. The PRA will work on the RMPRC project entitled “Well-being of the ECE Workforce in Low-resourced Locations” (WELL) program. Specifically, the PRA will help implement the intervention and participate in data collection efforts. The primary goals of the WELL study are to investigate factors that are most associated with worker well-being in early childhood education (ECE) settings and then to implement and evaluate the WELL program in ECE centers throughout the state.

The PRA will be supervised by Ms. Diane Brogden, Senior PRA for the WELL program.

Examples of Work Preformed
For the WELL study, the PRA will be expected to spend time doing the following study-related activities:
- 20% of the duties will be administrative:
- Participate in steering committee meetings and weekly research team meetings.
- Take notes and summarize meetings with Head Start ECE centers.
- Log travel and track study-related purchases
- Data input in several databases (e.g., Microsoft Teams, REDCap).
- Receipt and mileage processes and guidelines
- Other administrative duties
- 80% of the duties will be research-related:
- Implement all key components of the WELL program with Head Start ECE centers.
- Facilitate staff training and meetings with Head Start ECE centers.
- Establish and maintain the partnerships with study participants and ECE center staff.
- Build relationships with, and support ECE center staff using WELL strategies.
- Aide in the collection of study-related quantitative and qualitative data
- Participate in all team meetings and contribute to the study team.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, public health, health and wellness, psychology, sociology, or a directly related field from an accredited institution (a combination of experience working in education or a school setting, non-profit or community organization, promotion field, and or a related field may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis)
- Experience in education or health-promotion settings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of and experience working with early childhood education settings, experience developing and maintaining collaborations/partnerships
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Two years of professional-level work experience
Conditions of Employment
- Must be willing to travel to different locations, this is eligible for state mileage reimbursement.
- Must be able to work before school starts and after school ends, staying within allotted hours per week.
- Must be able to comfortably lift 25 pounds and perform physical demands (loading and unloading items)

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
$50,000 - $60,000
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
