Member of the privacy team. Responsible for managing the day-to-day functions of the privacy program. Provides advice and helps implement privacy by design into data processes. Works cross-functionally, including with Legal, People, Audit, IT, Risk, and Marketing functions. Helps Texas Roadhouse satisfy its privacy obligations and helps make sure that personal data is processed in authorized, fair, and legitimate way.

Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Privacy Engineering or a related field of study.
Certification: CIPP-US, CIPM, CIPT, CDPSE or equivalent certification preferred.
Experience: 5 years’ experience in privacy/data protection role or 8 plus years’ experience in a corporate compliance role will also be considered.

The Privacy Manager is responsible for:
- Support the day-to-day operations of the privacy function, including data inventory and flow mapping, privacy impact assessments, responding to privacy requests, policy and procedure drafting, regulatory monitoring, metric development, and incident management
- Work to align privacy by design principles and solutions from the first stage of development to meet regulatory compliance needs and reduce future privacy risks
- Implements privacy solutions using current programming language and technologies, creates a solid design, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications
- Verify that solutions implemented to comply with privacy policies and procedures are correctly implemented
- Engage cross-functionally with professionals of varying IT, information security, and privacy knowledge
- Interact with users, developers, and architects to define system requirements and drive data solutions, while protecting data assets
- Facilitate and promote activities to foster privacy awareness within the organization, including supporting the development of privacy training
- Monitor current privacy trends, legislation, regulation, and activities to prepare business stakeholders for upcoming changes

- Technical knowledge and ability to speak to common topics, including: network and IT infrastructure, common application and database design, IT governance and risk management, third party management, incident response, and knowledge of typical network and IT security components
- Working knowledge of U.S. privacy regulations
- Familiarity with OneTrust ecosystem of products preferred.
- Strong software development skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate designs, proposals, options, and results at management levels
