Position Summary
Responsible for the oversight, tracking and execution of various procurement related tasks that are part of larger company initiatives with dependency on timely execution of complex procurement actions. These actions include contracts, negotiations, vendor engagement and formal ongoing change management and communication programs. Integral member on company project teams to ensure procurement actions are effectively addressed. This role will interact with multiple departments and teams across maintenance, engineering, finance, supply and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage large, complex projects by coordinating sourcing, negotiation, contract development, production support, sustainment, and contract deliverables
- Gather requirements, create processes, procedures, instructions and reference guides to lead the project team. Drive execution of tasks and effectively track, monitor and report on project progress
- SCM point of contact for company-wide projects. Escalate and intervene when necessary to ensure project progression
- Ensure that procurement operations (contracts, purchasing, contract administration, expediting, suppliers quality, etc.) conform to corporate policies and procedures
- Develop and present recommendations for functional solutions to procurement, material and contractual issues to department leadership
- Effectively manage SCM process risks
- Prepare procedures and instructions to establish project responsibilities, methods of execution and sustainment after completion
- SCM lead to manage buyer furnished equipment contracts for the Entry into Service of any new aircraft fleet
- Develop, analyze, manage and report on supplier performance for managed projects
- Communicate with suppliers and contractors to achieve expected service levels
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience in aviation, military or program management
- 5 or more years' of increasing experience in a procurement, supply chain or project/program management role
- 3 or more years' experience in a leadership role in aviation procurement, production management, process improvement or program management
- Ability to work independently in a fast environment and achieve results
- Ability to develop, interpret and present project, procurement, financial and program analytical data

Preferred Qualifications
- Airline, Aviation or MRO experience
- PMP certification , Six Sigma, or equivalent experience managing aviation related procurement projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project
- MBA
