Project Manager - Interior Infrastructure - Facilities

The Project Manager works within NYP Facilities to develop, implement and manage projects and activities for the Facilities Aesthetic Condition Enhancement (FACE) Program as part of the infrastructure reinvestment program. Coordinates and implements projects and program activity to maintain, improve and standardize building interior spaces – the interior infrastructure -throughout all campuses and buildings. Implement NYP’s Interior Guidelines as developed by and in coordination with the Senior Project Manager – Interiors (OFD). Works with multiple departments and Hospital administration to make significant improvements in the aesthetic appearance of all facilities. Assists in the development of Special Project scope, schedule and budget with input from Facilities, senior management, Hospital operations, design consultants and contractors. Prepares project details for review and approval. Manages the program and projects within budget and on schedule, using Skire Unifier to track and report on project information, as applicable. Prepares and regularly updates project work schedules. Reports promptly and regularly on cost, scope and schedule variances. Develops and issues RFPs for furniture, design, and construction services. Evaluates competitive bids and recommends award of contracts. Prepares contracts and purchase orders. Reviews and recommends approval of payment applications. Identifies work area access issues and coordinates with unit directors and departmental managers to implement solutions. Communicates and coordinates with various unit directors and nurse staff for room accessibility, scheduling, and other issues

This is a full time position located at NewYork Presbyterian / Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

Required Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, interior design and/or engineering
• Minimum of 6 years experience of directly related project management experience
• Previous healthcare, higher education, facilities management, and construction experience
• Excellent communication and presentation skills R Ability to summarize complex issues
• Proven ability to interpret client needs, develop consensus, and implement creative solutions that work
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook
