Pacific Millworks is a Maui based wood shop, specializing in top-quality custom woodwork for Maui homes and businesses.

We are seeking a project manager to oversee the millwork projects from initiation to completion. In this role, you will work closely with external clients (i.e., architects, designers, general contractors, homeowners) and internal clients (i.e., purchasing, engineering, and operations), ensuring all those involved are communicated with clearly through updates and status meetings as necessary.

To ensure success as a project manager, you should be highly organized and have excellent communication skills. Ultimately, the project manager should be able to anticipate and address hindrances to project implementations. It is necessary that the project manager possesses a high attention to detail with a focus on clear communication around project details and expectations.

Responsibilities

Over the course of a project, the Project Manager will need to communicate with staff and clients, make decisions and monitor the progress of the project to keep it on schedule.

Important duties and responsibilities for a Project Manager include:

• Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines, and allocating resources.
• Working with engineers to ensure drawings represent the full scope and detail of the project.
• Working with purchasing to guarantee all materials align with the scope and drawings of the project.
• Peer reviewing of estimation and bidding of the projects ensuring the scope fully encompasses the details of the project as communicated with the client.
• Identifying and managing potential risks and liabilities of multiple projects
• Assisting in the definition of project scope and goals
• Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project.

• Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy.

• Communicating with clients and team members to keep the project aligned with goals.
• Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected.

• Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needed
