MX Fuel and Propane Delivery Boom Truck Drivers are responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient setting of propane tanks for our residential and commercial accounts. This role will operate out of the MX Fuels Division in Saranac Lake, NY.
Job Type: Full-time
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe operation of boom truck for loading, setting, and moving propane tanks.
- Ensure all propane tank codes and regulations are met for all tank sets.
- Ensure the safe preparation of propane tanks.
- Ensure accurate recording of tank preparation, set location, gas/leak tests.
- Assist in the delivery and set up of customer skid tanks when required.
- Obey all legal and company regulations affecting the operation of motor vehicles.
- Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of the truck, cab, and work location.
- Other duties as required.
Education and Experience Required:
- A high school diploma is required.
- Propane Industry experience is highly desirable.
- CDL class B with Hazmat (will train right candidate)
- Must have clean driving record.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- CETP Certifications, or willing to obtain.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work autonomously,
- Ability and willingness to work in all-weather situations.
- The position requires frequent climbing in and out of the cab, along with bending, and lifting of heavy loads.
- Local geographical knowledge is helpful.
- Mechanical knowledge is helpful.
