The Proposal and Grant Manager will play a key role by taking ownership of our proposal lifecycle. Qualified candidates have exceptional organizational skills, outstanding writing and presentations skills, and the ability to supervise and guide the team throughout the proposal process. Ideal candidates have experience with Science and Technology, and have in-depth knowledge of the Shipley proposal process.

The candidate will support special projects on behalf of the CEO, bringing closure to major projects and initiatives, jumpstarting key programs, assisting with technology forecasting, and identifying innovative directions for the company to pursue.

The Proposal and Grant Manager will be a key contributor to providing relationship management and branding inputs across the organization, as well as sister companies, affiliates, and partners.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the proposal lifecycle by overseeing the proposal process, delegating tasks, and driving the projects until successful completion
• Write strategic and powerful proposal responses
• Lead compelling presentations
• Assist with go/no go discussion with the leadership team
• Promote brand consistency
• Help identify applicable grants, and work with the finance team to plan and execute the grantmaking process
• Identify and attend selected contractor outreach events, industry days, etc.
• Assist with quality assurance for document issuances at the corporate level
• Build relationships with current and potential clients
• Provide support for managing customer relationships
• Work with corporate stakeholders to extract relevant program details to streamline capture process
• Ability to translate technology evolution into written capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Business, Communications, Marketing, English, or related field
• 5+ years of proposal writing and proposal development experience
• Strong past performance with government clients
• Excellent written and presentation communication skills
• Experience with the Shipley process or other proposal methodologies
• Knowledge of federal grant guidelines, policies, and regulations
• Experience working in deadline-driven environment
• Federal Government experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM related fields
• Purchasing experience
• Commercial Industry experience
• PMP certification
• Experience working across both government and industry-driven environments preferred
• Marketing/advertising/branding experience
