Job Description:
Davis Behavioral Health is seeking a part-time Human Services Technician (Psych Tech) to work in in the Quest School Program in the Children, Youth and Families Mental Health clinic located in the agency's outpatient clinic located on the Layton/Kaysville border. Quest is a day treatment program for junior high and high school students who need both an alternative school program in the morning and mental health services in the afternoon. The program targets clients aged 12-18 years who have demonstrated a broad range of maladaptive behaviors such as delinquency, substance use, and related mental health issues.
The successful candidate will provide direct supervision and support to students in the adolescent day treatment program. Provide supervision and structure for clients on-site as well as off unit. Plan and facilitate social skills groups. Complete documentation as required. Drive 15-passenger van to transport clients to and from off-unit approved activities. Plan and facilitate Thursday night group with other staff (5-6 pm).
This position will be scheduled to work 25 hours per week, during school hours. As a part-time position, this recruitment is not eligible for participation in DBH's employee benefits program.
Schedule
The proposed schedule for this position will be:

• Monday: 9 am -3 pm
• Tuesday: 9 am - 3 pm
• Wednesday: 9 am - 3 pm
• Thursday: 9 am- 3 pm
• Friday: 9 am - 1 pm

The schedule is somewhat flexible within the need to meet program needs.
Compensation
The hourly rate for this position is $16.00 per hour.

Experience and Skills:
The selected candidate must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening. DBH will not hire individuals currently using illegal drugs or abusing alcohol; therefore, making employment at DBH conditional upon successfully passing pre-employment drug screening by providing a valid sample. Candidates who are offered employment are required to report for a drug screen at an Intermountain WorkMed location within 24 hours of being requested to do so by the DBH Human Resources Department.
The selected candidates is required to be First Aid and CPR certified within 30 days of hire.
Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants and must comply with the Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.
The successful candidate must also have a clean driving record in order to meet qualification to be added to DBH's auto insurance policy and drive the 15-passenger van assigned to the Quest program.
Candidates must be computer literate and have the ability to quickly learn new computer-related tasks in order to complete required documentation.
Preference will be given to applicants who have previous experience working in the mental health field, specifically with children & youth.
