Responsibilities
Responsible for the administration and scoring psychological and neuropsychological tests under the supervision of a clinical psychologist or clinical neuropsychologist. Collects patient demographic information as requested. Perform various clerical or administrative duties that include, but are not limited to, patient scheduling, billing and coding of procedures and procurement of office and testing supplies as requested.
What You'll Do:
- Provide psychological and neuropsychological testing services to persons with neurologic injuries and illnesses and their families.
- Evaluate, manage and record patient behaviors; assemble test data and calculate summary scores. Score tests and report findings to psychologist for interpretation.
- Ensure that all appropriate pre-authorizations have been completed before administering testing and/or other related services.
- Administer and score psychological test batteries (determined by the supervising professional) evaluating cognitive, academic, neuropsychological, behavioral, and emotional status in order to assist Neuropsychologists, Psychologists, Neurologists, and other medical professionals in differential neuropsychiatric diagnosis and related treatment decisions.
- Provide technical psychometric and database support, including as appropriate for clinical research projects.
- Provide Neuropsychologist or Psychologist with description of patient's behavior during testing and observed incidentally.
- Assist with research and other projects, including maintenance of clinical database.
Qualifications
Requirements and Education:
- Bachelor degree in Education, Nursing, Mathematics, Biology or Psychology from an accredited program required.
- Master degree in Psychology or related field preferred.
- Completion of Psychometrist training preferred.
- 2 – 3 years administrating psychological and neuropsychological tests on pediatric, adult and geriatric patients experience required.
Pay Range
$15.60 - $20.54 /hour
