About the Position

The Python Developer can apply standard programming procedures and detailed knowledge of the pertinent subject matter to develop and deliver integrated virtual product development solutions. The new colleague will work according to approved specifications. The work assignments will require analysis, investigation, objectivity, and creativity in arriving at a solution. The Python Developer will work in a Software Development Life Cycle environment with a cross-functional, cross-continental group of engineers who are creating and refining links between tire design and vehicle performance.
The incumbent will evolve in a global software development team that implements IT R&D solutions to support the tire design and manufacturing processes in three different technology centers globally.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Add and develop innovative solutions to support Virtual tire development,
  • Add new software functionality to existing tools
  • Identify and fix software issues and provide incident coverage
  • Deliver service requests and Deploy software releases
  • Support the cloud platform environment and the automated deployment process
  • Apply knowledge of current technologies and methodologies (Agile, XP, or similar) with the business subject matter to develop potential technical solutions.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • 3+ or more years of experience in Information Technology

Desired Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge and experience with Python programming and BASH
  • Knowledge and experience of CI CD pipelines, Fundamentals of DevOps concepts preferred
  • Knowledge and Experience with Cloud Computing (AWS / Azure) preferred
  • Experience navigating Linux environments
  • Fundamentals of Web Development (HTML, JavaScript)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
