is currently looking to hire an individual for a direct hire position as a Quality Mechanical Technician.


Scope of the position:
The Quality Mechanical Technician tests and verifies functionality of manufactured product to ensure the quality standards for the vehicles built by E-ONE to meet all customer and statutory/regulatory requirements.

Review shop orders, red books, change orders and/or all other order affiliated documents to determine requirements. In scope with customer’s order, verify functionality of range of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic units including engines, transmissions, pumps, cabs, bodies, ladders, Motor Vehicle Air Conditioning (MVAC) systems, alternators, electronic control systems, swivels, bearings, torque boxes, turntables, steering systems, transmission shifters, and throttle cables. Test components to meet all applicable and required standards. Perform NFPA testing, Foam Testing, FAA testing, road testing and other statutory testing. Support all ISO requirements, including calibration, control of documents, control of records, control of non-conforming product.


Minimum requirements: High school graduate or General Education Diploma

Minimum 5 years’ experience in the operation or maintenance of Fire Apparatus, or equivalent. Must have thorough product knowledge, including functional operation

Must possess advanced problem-solving skills from identification through root cause resolution

Critical situations are common requiring superior judgment and consistency with company policy.

Must understand and be able to follow documented test and inspection procedures.

Must be able to operate electronic diagnostic machinery.

Knowledge of FAA and NFPA

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Pay commensurate with experience.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift – 7am to 3:30pm, Monday – Friday. Overtime as available
