The role of the Quality Control Manager is to ensure that the Company operates in compliance with federal regulations related to food, dietary supplements, and personal care. The QC Manager must have adept understanding of cGMPs related to GWI’s applicable industries and requirements imposed on GWI based on GWI’s operations. The QC Manager is also responsible for protecting the Company against distributing potentially adulterated products by maintaining a certain standard for seller, factory, and product adherence.
Responsibilities:
· Monitor and enhance the department’s processes for reviewing and approving manufacturer-completed questionnaires
· Monitor and enhance the department’s processes for reviewing and approving manufacturer certifications and other company-related documents
· Review factory overall performance, including trends of complaints, returns, documentation issues, and shipping issues to determine if their performance meets required internal standards
· Review required product-related documentation and ensure documentation is accurate and provides the necessary information
· Research FDA alerts and notifications to ensure the product can be legally sold and does not conflict with other legislations or requirements (i.e., WADA’s Prohibited List)
· Review and update GWI Prohibited Products list on a quarterly basis
· Perform quarterly review of the products list to ensure all products advertised can be legally sold and do not conflict with other legislations or requirements
· Review customer quality complaints to determine the reason for the complaint and if an investigation is necessary
· If a return is warranted, approve the RMA, and record any necessary comments
· Review all RMAs entered the online system
· Keep track of RMA root causes and develop action plans to reduce future RMAs.
· Provide monthly report to key personnel
· Monitor and enhance the department’s processes for responding to and providing necessary actions to customer requests regarding QA/QC aspects of GWI, factory partners, and/or products
· Handle all CAPA responses for customers with appropriate investigation of issues and follow up on corrective actions
· Mange, oversee and follow up on KPI/Goals for third party testing of products
· Review inventory reports for products located in QC/QU locations to determine QC disposition
· Create warehouse tasks in NetSuite to address any action items required for products located in QC/QU
· Oversee and follow up on execution of QC-related warehouse tasks
· Maintained controlled QC/QU locations, assuring that no products are left unattended without action disposition
· Review all department SOPs and update official SOP documents every 6 months
· Enhance daily procedures for all related personnel
· Ensure personnel in the QA/QC department have received sufficient training for their job positions and understand the importance behind their position.
· Assist with recruitment, interviewing and hiring of any QC support personnel
· Attend weekly meetings with other department towards the company goals
· Inventory control
· Preventive action apply to manufactures with trending pending issues of products
· Keep up to date to regulations regarding FDA, CRF 21, and Osha.
· Review damage product to be dispose
· RMA trending reports
· Relabeling products
· Trending report regarding quality issues
· Manufacture trending report on performance
· Customer trending report on performance
· There are 2400 ingredients and must keep up to date to changes regarding each one
· Prepare and review monthly RMA report
· Prepare and review monthly expired inventory report
· Prepare and review monthly short shelf life inventory report
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in science, biology, or any related field
- Must have some in-lab experience
- Must be extremely computer literate and able to learn systems quickly
- Must have very strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be energetic and ready to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have knowledge of: short shelf life/expiring inventory, 3rdparty lab testing
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
