Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst for our client located in Montgomery, AL.

Job Overview:

The QA Analyst will be experienced in the testing of new software in both the pre-and post-release stage of the development life cycle. The QA Analyst will be responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. The QA Analyst will be involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, and test execution. The QA Analyst will define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status. They will collect and analyzes data for software process evaluation and improvements, and integrates them into business processes to address the business needs. Documents all problems and assists in their resolution. Performs quality audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of quality assurance and business process documentation experience
  • In-depth knowledge of and proven track record in software testing life cycle
  • Ability to write MS SQL scripts.
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Read system requirements and build test cases
  • Document the specifications, design, features, and operation of applications
  • Developing and executing software test plans, use cases, test scripts, and scenarios
  • Writing and editing user manuals, helping with system documentation and other technical documents
  • Reproduce bugs, that are either user reported or have been found during the testing cycle
  • Report bugs and errors to development teams
  • Document testing procedures and organize test activities
  • Execute test scripts, reporting daily on the progress and defects
  • Ability to work independently and also be a good team player.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or another related field.

Relevant equivalent work experience above the minimum required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $77,000.00 per hour
