Job Summary

• Assist with QAPI meetings and records.
• Monitor quality issues and/or preparing corrective action plans on quality issues as necessary.
• Assist nursing tean with preparing corrective action plans on quality issues as necessary.
• Assist with leadership of PIP's for quality improvement.
• Prepares and assists with State surveys.
• Assists with in-service education regarding infection control as needed.
• Pulls reports from medical record(s) to obtain information on all antibiotics and antifungals, etc.
• Stays current with antibiotics being ordered and begins the surveillance process.
• Performs infection control surveillance on all residents with infections and reviews records for documentation and maintains log of all infections in the HealthCenter.
• Serve as liason to staff regarding infection concerns.
• Consult with Ordering Physicians or Medical Director on issues regarding antibiotic stewardship or infections issues to ensure adequate documentation.
• Coordinate flu and other vaccine consents on residents and staff
• Complete State reporting of outbreaks of infections in the Health Center.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Must have current Practical Nurse license in the State of Oklahoma
