SUMMARY

Inspects material and processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Inspect product and / or processes as defined by company guidelines.
  • Assists in resolving production issues as required.
  • Assist in problem solving on Customer issues as needed.
  • Where applicable must follow OPC manual for the job.
  • Responsible for complying with all company policies, procedures, values, ethics, and rules.
  • Responsible for following all safety rules including, but not limited to, reporting all accidents to supervisor immediately and utilizing all proscribed safety equipment including personal protective equipment.
  • Supports quality and environmental and meets quality requirements specified for position. Meets quality requirements specified by production drawings, bills of materials, control plans, policies, work instructions, and procedures.
  • Participates in and/or completes appropriate training. As appropriate, submits documentation of specific training (i.e. course description, certificate).
  • Maintains complete security and confidentiality of all Company records and employee data.
  • Maintains a clean, orderly and professional work area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED required. Experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment desired. Must be able to pass a blueprint reading test and math test.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and understand blueprints.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed instructions provided in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
