Feed Safety/Quality Assurance Manager

Producers Cooperative Association is a diversified agricultural supply cooperative providing livestock feeds, seed, fertilizer, fuel and lubricants, and agricultural equipment and a wide array of farm and ranch supplies to more than 10,000 farmers and ranchers throughout southeast and south-central Texas.

We are in search for an individual with an eye for detail to manage feed safety and quality assurance in our Feed Division on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

· Ensuring state and federal regulations are satisfied

· Maintaining Producers’ Safe Food Safe Feed certification

· Attending continuing education meetings or courses

· Communicate with feed mill, warehouse personnel and management all QA/QC needs and concerns

· Preparation for state and federal inspections and assist inspectors during inspections and audits

· Train and supervise Lab Technicians as well as fill in when necessary

· Maintain and update NIR calibrations

Ideal Candidate:

· HACCP and PCQI certifications

· Strong computer, analytical and problem-solving skills

· 3-4 years feed industry experience
