The Quality Control Associate I:
Lab Support role is responsible for supporting the general function of the Quality Control labs through material delivery, gowning restocking, equipment preventative maintenance, and alarm response. Additionally, this role may assist with investigations, document revision and ownership, change control ownership, training and review associated with role, and continuous improvement efforts.
Education
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline
Experience
- 0 - 2 years of regulated industry experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work in a high paced team environment, meet deadlines, and adjust workload based on changing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Strong detail-driven scientific and organizational skills.
- Experience working in a regulated (GxP) environment (optional).
- Success working in a high-performing, business results-driven environment.
- 0 - 2 years of regulated industry experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Responsibilities
- Perform and document scheduled preventative maintenance and onboarding of analytical QC lab equipment according to established procedures
- Execute equipment alarm response and trend monitoring during regular business hours
- Use established systems to purchase and stock lab supplies, gowning, materials, and equipment
- Create and verify LIMS Standard and Reagent labels
- Perform routine housekeeping of QC labs
- Perform solution preparation to support QC testing
- Escalate lab material shortages through the appropriate channels
- Document ownership and revision
- Initiate, own and otherwise assist with investigations, Change Controls, and CAPAs
- Review maintenance work and equipment-related records
- Train new lab support staff on day-to-day responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvements and implement solutions
The starting compensation for this job is a range from $53,000 to $67,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
