Supplier Quality Engineer

To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:

• Work with cross-functional teams of customers, suppliers, program managers, and plant operations to ensure the effectiveness of the AUTOKINITON supply chain. Provide direction and leadership consistent with company and department business plan goals.
• Conducts supplier capabilities and assessment audits.
• Review, analyze, and approve supplier PPAP submissions in coordination with AUTOKINITON’s receiving plant quality team.
• Provide guidance for supplier-based issues (approves rework and 3rd party requirements).
• Assists Supplier in establishing product quality standards. Determines product/material acceptability and best practices for boundary samples.
• Suggests and reviews alternative solutions for product or material problems.

This salary role is a part of our Quality team and reports to the quality Manager.

Required experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent industrial design experience.
• Minimum two (2) years in quality engineering or supplier development preferred.
• Knowledge of standard quality practices, ex. FMEA’s, SPC, DOE, etc.
• Large & medium metal stamping and assembly background.
