The Quality Manager will have the following duties and responsibilities:
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance of local, state (Cal-OSHA and Cal-EPA), and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
- Primary focus will be on Quality!
- Review daily submittals of WeCare cases including: Near Misses, Incidents and Injuries, Hazard Observations and Safety Walks.
- Engage with employees to acknowledge and discuss submittal of above reports.
- Plan and lead Safety Walks. Drive engagement from employees.
- Manage the Quality Environmental Health and Safety Management System Process including internal audit, accident investigation, corrective/preventive actions, document/records control and external audit.
- Internally promote the goals of QEHS to LNS employees.
- Train LNS employees on the use of QEHS tools to prevent accidents.
- Manage the Quality Environmental Health and Safety Management System Process including internal audit, accident investigation, corrective/preventive actions, document/records control and external audit.
- Seek new, creative alternatives to keep employees engaged and learning.
- Participate in working groups to support improvement in all areas of QEHS.
- Provide support, as needed, to employees in efforts to ensure their health and safety. This includes after-hours and weekend support to our field service teams who are on the job 24/7.
- Lead investigations and develop corrective actions for injuries and other incidents (non-personal injury).
- Maintain LTIR and TRIR for both OSHA and company requirements, as these metrics are closely monitored.
- Maintain current QEHS customer requirements.
- Support Top Management in relation to travel security when asked.
- Implement requirements as communicated by WNA QEHS and serve as liaison for WNA QEHS.
- Analyse incidents to identify trends to provide focused-training and other mitigation and prevention efforts.

Minimum Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Relevant bachelors or master’s academic degree (e.g. In emergency or safety management, maritime transportation/environmental engineering).
- 7 – 10 years’ experience working in the health, safety and environmental sector for maritime or energy industries.
- ISO Lead Auditor certification for 9001 is desired.
- Cal-OSHA and Cal-EPA regulatory experience.
- Safety Certification (CSP, ASP, NEBOSH) a plus.
- Understanding various regulatory requirements and being able develop simplified company procedures to comply.
- Initiative and an inherent concern for others’ well-being is a necessary characteristic for success in this role.
- You will support teams who face EHS hazards daily and you will need to be humble to understand their challenges and connect with them, in order to collaborate on solutions.
- Excellent influencing and communication skills, virtually and in a global environment.
- Positive, hands on and solution oriented working style and an excellent ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with peers and stakeholders.
- English proficiency.
- Ability to travel within North America region as needed.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Eligibility to participate in: the discretionary incentive plan assigned to the level of position upon offer of employment; medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) plan and flexible spending accounts, subject to plan terms; Company-paid benefits such as life insurance, short- and long-term disability, subject to applicable waiting periods. Paid time off (PTO) is accrued on a per-pay period basis in accordance with tenure in the Company; a new hire can expect 17 days per year. Twelve (12) Company-paid holidays.
