With the support of the community, Hospice of the Valley’s Dementia Care and Education Campus is an innovative and comprehensive resource for those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. The Campus will provide full-spectrum care for persons living with all stages of dementia and support for their families. A 12-person Assisted Living Center, a 10-person Hospice Inpatient Care Home, an Adult Day Center, and a Child Center will provide superb and creative person-centered care, and a Community Education Center will educate and inspire physicians, nurses, social workers, caregivers, families, and the community to improve quality of life for persons living with dementia.
Position Profile
This role will be responsible for answering the main campus phone lines. This person will greet guests, direct guests on where to go and support educational activities and events taking place on the Dementia Care and Education Campus.
Responsibilities
- Manages phone calls and visitors in a professional manner.
- Greet and manage the check in process.
- Supports events at the Dementia Education Center including Education sessions, Memory Café, Support Groups and Mindfulness Classes
- Prepares materials and special supplies
- Supports event day logistics such as room configuration and AV set- up.
- Manages events RSVP list.
- Schedules conference rooms.
- Assist with coordination of food and beverage needs with café and kitchen.
- Assist with campus events occurring outside of the education center.
- Maintains and enhances professional skills.
- Adheres to high standards of personal and professional conduct.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in an administrative support and/or event planning role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare or education background is strongly preferred.
