Develops, administers and directs recreation programs for residents at a Youth Learning Institute facilities located throughout SC.

JOB DUTIES:


60% - Essential - Program Management:
Plans, implements and oversees recreation programs to meet the needs of the residents. Schedules, supervises and coordinates juvenile activities at the site. Provides and/or arranges transportation to facilitate activities for off-site services, programs, or meetings. Performs specified residential duties. Requisitions and maintains appropriate supplies and equipment.

15% - Essential - Supervision:
Assigns and supervises duties and activities of volunteers; makes community contacts as needed. Supervises sanitation and maintenance procedures to ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the facility and the general health/safety of the residents.

10% - Essential - Administrative:
Performs administrative duties as required, including oral or written reports, headcounts, clinical notes.

15% - Essential - Training/Teaching:
Provides teaching, crisis intervention, orientation for new juveniles, and serves as a treatment team member Instructs residents in methods, techniques and rules of various recreational activities. Other duties as assigned by Director or Assistant Director of the program.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


There are no minimum training or experience requirements for this class.

No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

Standard Hrs: 40; Band: 01 ($ 15,080.00 - $ 27,710.00)
