We are recruiting for two Recreation Leader II - Rental & Event Leaders in our Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department. The ideal candidate will have experience in the recreation industry. Providing quality customer service and the ability to work weekends are a must. This is a high-energy job that demands a positive attitude, creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to work well within a team. This position will coordinate rentals, open gyms, and events utilizing the city's reservation software, inflatables, and recreation equipment.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older at time of hire.
• Graduation from High School or GED equivalent; or senior in high school on track to graduate.
• Two (2) years of experience with organized recreational activities, sports, and/or childcare; experience must demonstrate responsibility and customer service.
• One (1) year of college level course work in recreation or childcare can substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.
• Ability to supervise staff and programs.

Desired Attributes:

• Customer service and reservation software experience preferred.

Schedule:

• A flexible work schedule that is based on rentals and events.
• Staff must be available to work weekends and occasional Friday evenings.

The anticipated hiring range for the Recreation Leader II - Rental & Event Leader position is $16.31 (first step) to $17.12 (second step). Directly related experience and qualifications will be evaluated alongside others who perform work of comparable character as required by Pay Equity Law. Three steps are included in this salary range, allowing opportunity for annual movement through the steps.
