Job description

Optimum Specialist is currently seeking Full-Time Recreation Therapists to work a 6 month assignment at a Correctional facility in CALIFORNIA; with the possibility of extension or permanent employment.

Hourly Rate: $71

Location:

  • Vacaville, CA

  • Corcoran, CA

Days & Shifts

  • Vacaville, CA |Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday 7:30AM - 5:30PM or 8AM - 6PM
  • Ione, CA | Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM
  • Tehachapi, CA | Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 5:00PM
  • Corcoran, CA | Tuesday - Friday 7:00AM - 5:00PM

Job Duties for Recreation Therapist:

  • Develop and implement specialized recreation therapy services to CDCR Patient-Inmates
  • Participate in the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT)
  • Evaluate recreation therapy needs for Patients-Inmates with particular attention to activities of daily living, communication skills, physical exercise, and positive coping strategies.
  • Other duties, as assigned by Institution.

Requirements for Recreation Therapist:

  • 1 year experience as a Recreation Therapist
  • Active NCTRC or CBRPC Certification/License REQUIRED
  • BLS from (American Heart Association)
