Position Overview
The Recruiter is primarily responsible for performing all aspects of recruitment and staffing for various roles within our organization. The Recruiter will be expected to source resumes to find applicants using various recruiting tools or platforms, such as LinkedIn, Clearance jobs, indeed, Career Builder, and Circa. The Recruiter is the first point of contact for candidates and must be able to work both independently and as part of a team to fulfill open requisitions.
Responsibilities / Duties
- Develop strategic solutions to meet workforce demands and labor force trends.
- Works with HR & Recruiting Manager on decisions related to corporate branding as it relates to recruiting and retaining talented employees.
- Responsible for running background and reference checks on all new hires.
- Work with hiring managers to create and update job descriptions.
- Work with HR & Recruiting Manager to keep policies and procedures.
- Create and monitor available positions online using various job boards and social media.
- Provide effective communication with hiring managers and candidates.
- Keep an active report of all applicants to track and organize all candidates.
- Pre-screen candidates via phone.
- Schedule and participate in interviews, both via telephone and in person.
- Create, send, and negotiate job offer letters.
- Enter all new employees into HRIS system.
- Required to run weekly meetings with managers on progress with current or upcoming positions.
- Required to attend Job Fairs across the various locations within the Unites States
- May assist in various recruitment efforts within the business development and project management office teams
Minimum Requirements
- 1-2 years of professional recruiting experience
- Ability to adapt to new changes quickly with a flexible and can-do attitude
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Highly organized and deadline driven.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be energetic, enthusiastic, comfortable speaking with people and have a strong telephone presence.
- Must be comfortable working with various levels of management.
- Must possess excellent computer skills including Microsoft office to include, word, excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel on occasion as necessary.
Preferred Skills/Knowledge
- Previous experience recruiting for a Government Contract
- Current DoD Secret Level Clearance
- Working knowledge of HRIS in connection with the applicant tracking system
- Knowledge of AAP and DE&I as it pertains to recruitment efforts
Physical Demands
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
- Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds occasionally and walk short distances.
- Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Must close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading.
