Job Summary: Zoltek is looking for a talented Recruiting Coordinator to join our US HR team. You will be a critical resource in achieving and maintaining staffing and retention goals at Zoltek’s US manufacturing sites. You will be responsible for attracting candidates, screening resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews, managing hiring paperwork, and other HR related activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the identification of vacancies, develop/review job descriptions with the hiring manager, post jobs. pre-hire checks, new employee orientation, etc.
  • Attend job fairs, community activities, and other recruitment-related events.
  • Assist recruitment team with customized screening and initial contact of applicants to determine qualification and interest level.
  • Serves as a resource for recruitment policies, procedures, and practices to supervisors, HR staff, and others.
  • Assist with identifying issues affecting recruitment and implementing recruitment activities to continuously improve processes
  • Refers appropriate candidates to recruiter, schedules interviews, and coordinates with candidates throughout the recruitment process via e-mail, text, and phone calls.
  • Promptly follow up with candidates after interviews by sending offer letters and authorization paperwork.
  • Process pre-hire checks, confirm orientation/start dates with candidates and recruitment team, all while maintaining communication/coordination with candidates, hiring managers, and recruitment team.
  • Facilitate orientations as needed, enter personnel data into HRIS, complete I9 verifications, file new hire paperwork electronically.
  • Provides support coordination of recruitment projects and related services to supervisors, hiring managers, the recruitment team, and others.
  • Assist with preparing employee separation notices and related documentation
  • Participate in developing HR goals and objectives for manufacturing sites
  • Assist with investigations and other employee relations matters
  • Assist in the day-to-day reporting of staffing and turnover, and other recruitment metrics
  • Assist in maintenance of HR policies, forms, and procedures
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in HR/Business Administration or related field required
  • Min. 1-3 years’ experience in recruiting in manufacturing or other high volume hiring industry preferred
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures for recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations, HR information systems.
  • Computer skills including Outlook, MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), HRIS
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple ranges of advanced administrative duties with wide latitude for independent judgment and initiative.
  • Ability to travel between greater St. Louis area facilities (Bridgeton, St. Peters, and St. Charles).

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in an office environment with regular exposure to manufacturing environment. The employee may occasionally be exposed to chemicals, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, cold and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Intermittent periods of walking through manufacturing environment.
