Regional directors are responsible for supervision and oversight of programs in a specific region and ensuring that the programs are held to the highest standards. This includes clinical and programmatic quality, quality assurance, financial management, funder requirements, recruitment and retention, communications, compliance, revenue cycle, and general program operations The Director implements and supports initiatives achieving our strategic and operational goals. A commitment to the RHD values should be demonstrated as job duties are performed.
Leadership, Staff Management and Organizational Strategy:
  • Supports the implementation of strategic and operational initiatives, including but not limited to promoting initiatives through active communication cascades to Program Directors and Staff.
  • Supports programs with change management ensuring the voice of program staff is reflected in decision making.
  • Recognizes the value of optimizing the potentials of all staff and ensures that the organization develops and implements healthy and productive practices and metrics that develop staff in all ways.
  • Provides values-based supervision, support, and guidance to direct reports; identifies and creates, onboarding, leadership, and professional development opportunities to direct reports.
  • Collaborates with Program Director and HR Business Partner to ensure that all programs are following state/funder and RHD systems and processes related to recruitment, training, development, and supervision.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partner and HR Team to recruit and retain staff, identify, and implement other workforce planning initiatives using metrics on an ongoing basis.
  • Partner with the Service Line Clinical Directors in the oversight of clinical service delivery, quality, clinical evaluation and outcomes to ensure clinical quality for respective programs.
Regional Oversight and Evaluation:
  • Day to day operational oversight, supervision, and support of Program Directors for programs/services in a region to ensure high quality service delivery.
  • Promotes and supports a working environment consistent with the culture of RHD and RHD Values; Collaborates with the VP Culture and Communications and designees to develop, implement, and maintain systems and processes for Region to effectively inform, educate, maintain, and live out RHD Values and consistently practice cultural diversity and inclusion.
  • Collaborates with program leadership to increase and/or maintain census and/or visits through referral sources.
Quality Assurance:
  • Collaborate with the Service Line Clinical Directors to ensure that services are trauma informed in both service delivery and working environments, designed around the needs and choices of the individuals we support and ensuring that the recognized best practices, including Evidence Based Practices are implemented.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Quality team in the implementation of initiatives supporting related RHD Strategic Objectives and other corporate wide clinical initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Director of QA and other leadership to develop and implement corrective actions plans, quality initiatives, and other actions that maintain and/or improve service delivery.
  • Oversight of the implementation of contractual and regulatory requirements in concert with appropriate program and department leadership.
  • Ensure that all programs maintain compliance with all federal, state, funder, accrediting agency, and RHD policies and procedures. through routinely coordinating compliance audits of programs with service line team and program support.
Finance, Development, and Other Operations:
  • Collaborate with Program Directors, Director of Revenue Cycle, and Financial Leadership to ensure that all programs are following state/funder and RHD revenue cycle policies and processes resulting in successful delivery of quality services and collection of revenue for services provided; Monitors compliance through daily/monthly reporting and key performance indicators.
  • Collaborates with regional and program leadership to ensure operations are managed within established budgets; Collaborates with Financial Managers in budget development.
  • Works with Program Directors and Financial Managers to ensure that all programs are following RHD Fiscal Policies and Procedures.
  • Builds & maintains positive working relationship with funders and referral sources; Works with Program Directors to ensure that all programs receive any necessary and official documentation from funders and; Creates process and communication to ensure funder requirements are shared and understood by all program staff.
  • Represent and/or advocate for RHD and the individuals we serve at regional meetings with funders, government agencies, and other external entities as needed.
  • Manages the startup of new services and programs; Identifies opportunities for new business & expansion and coordinates and participates in the organizational response to government opportunities that meet the Strategic Business Goals and Objectives, including but not limited to participating in initial meetings with potential funders, researching regulations and provider requirements, responding to RFPs, facilitating submission of new applications.
Required Experience, Education, and Qualifications:
  • 6 years of experience with programs designed to support individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities, mental illness, addictive disorders, or other life challenges; some clinical experience preferred.
  • Plus 3 years of experience as a manager or program director working in a human service field.
  • Master's degree in a Human Services field.
  • Excellent communication, written and time management skills, Current and valid driver’s license with ability to travel to programs and the Philadelphia Corporate Office as needed; Criminal Background Clearance Required.
RHD Boston provides residential, day, and individual supports to men and women with developmental disabilities in the Greater Boston area. Programs are located in Greater Boston Roslindale, West Roxbury, Hyde Park, Waltham, Walpole, Arlington, Medford).
