The Regional Director, Outpatient Services assesses, develops, implements, and manages outpatient services for assigned region within the BH Division. Upon the completion of an area needs assessment, develops OP service lines and programs within existing facilities and through the development of tethered & independent satellite locations. Serves as the Step-Down Navigator liaison ensuring step down processes are adhered to including routine Midas data entry. Gathers and evaluates data through various platforms including Midas, MS4, SharePoint, Tableau, etc. in an effort to identify trends and drive development.
Knowledge of applicable state laws pertaining to outpatient service lines.
Knowledge of outpatient service line and program development
Knowledge of outpatient operations including staffing, structure and management
Knowledge of Joint Commission, Medicare, HCFA, Patient Rights Standards, and all other state and federal law and/or regulatory requirements.
Must have excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicates ideas/problems/instructions with other management and staff
Ability to collect and analyze data for trend identification and service line/program development.
Ability to coordinate several on-going project tasks.
Ability to implement long-range and short-range planning goals and objectives, and ability to ensure successful implementation of such.
Ability to adhere to safety policies and procedures.
Ensure that a system is maintained to provide continuity of care and communication with family and appropriate referral sources, and ensure the system is evaluated and reviewed regularly.
Ensure the program meets the Joint Commission, Medicare and federal and state regulatory
requirements.
Develop and implement a Performance Improvement Plan, evaluate the results monthly, and report results to the Corporate Performance Improvement Committee in a timely manner.
Ensure that all deficiencies identified through the performance improvement analysis are addressed with appropriate problem-solving actions.
Provide routine reports based on data/analytics to track facility trends and identify opportunities
Provide services to current referral sources to assure their satisfaction and continued associations.
Allocate and coordinate program resources for marketing and referral development activities.
Provide education, support and recognition to facilities as it pertains to outpatient services.
Collaborate with facility CEO and OP staff to develop, implement and monitor service lines & programs.
Collaborates in the development of service lines, programs, and locations (on-site & satellite).- Integrates the components of the step-down initiative, ensuring adherence to approved processes.
- Identifies and remedies facility constraints as it pertains to the expansion of OP services.
- Manages identified Key Performance Indicators for assigned region to meet Operations & Product Departmental goals.
- multi-location operational oversight with extensive project management experience. Data capturing & analysis to drive development in relation to market demand.
- Development and implementation of service lines & programs at the facility level. Maintain compliance with standards & regulatory requirements and integrate step-down processes/workflows.
- Performs other duties as assigned/required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
- 5 to 8 years of related experience required, with 8-10 preferred
- Master’s Level Clinician licensed preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time for site-visits, field analysis, and development.
