JOB SUMMARY:
Assesses the insurability of real estate transactions; recognizes and resolves title problems and related issues.

Pay Range: 130 to 150k annual pay + bonus

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Makes underwriting decisions on matters raised by agents and staff.

Conducts staff and agent training on underwriting-related topics.

Develops and revises underwriting content on ATG’s website.

Updates written underwriting materials and advises ATG agents of changes to the guidelines.

Handles complex and problem files.

Participates in trade organization- and industry-related working groups as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Ten+ years as a title insurance underwriter in Texas or Florida

Strong research and writing skills.

Critical thinking.

Excellent customer service skills.

Attentive to detail.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to work under pressure with compressed deadlines in a team environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Ability to work with a diverse and sophisticated customer base.

Public speaking experience is a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
College Degree

Law Degree is a plus

Experience in real estate law or title insurance underwriting
