Job description

Available to fill in for Cardiac Rehab RN when out on vacation or illness. Occasionally work on CR RN days off to help with admissions, contacting referrals and make up sessions missed by patients during regularly scheduled week.
Performs the initial Cardiac Rehab assessment, and develops and implements personalized exercise programs for patients who have eligible cardiac diagnosis, as ordered by the Physician.
Submit 30 Day Individual Treatment Plans as indicated.
Occasionally help with Education Classes and community outreach opportunities.

Duties Include:

• Supervising patient exercise sessions.
• Educating patients regarding proper exercise techniques and health fitness topics to facilitate a decrease in participants’ cardiac risk factors, an increase in independence with skills for management of disease and associated symptoms, and an increase in functional capacity.
• Utilization of EPIC Electronic Record.
• Communicating with Cardiologists and Primary Care Physicians regarding any and all matters impacting patients health and progress.

• Current RN licensure in the state of South Dakota
• Current CPR and ACLS certification (will provide)
• Experience in Cardiac Rehab and/or Cardiac Care Preferred.
• Knowledge of cardiac telemetry required
• Excellent Computer Skills required
• Critical thinking and decision making skills
• Friendly and energetic personality.
• Be able to multi task and function independently.
• Flexibility in work schedule.
