Job Title: Clinician, RN or APRN

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field. For an APRN role, an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification and relevant master's degree in a specialized area such as Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, etc.

· Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as an RN or APRN, preferably in a setting related to performance measurement, quality improvement, or Health IT.

· Quality Improvement Knowledge: Strong understanding of quality improvement methodologies, tools, and principles. Familiarity with performance measurement and performance improvement projects.

· Data Analysis Skills: Proficient in data collection, analysis, and interpretation. Ability to use statistical methods and software applications to analyze healthcare data.

· Research and Evaluation: Experience in research design, data collection, and evaluation. Knowledge of research methodologies and ability to contribute to the development and validation of performance measures.

· Healthcare Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare systems, clinical practices, and patient care processes. Stay updated with current evidence-based practices and guidelines.

· Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to convey complex information and findings in a clear and concise manner.

· Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and healthcare professionals.

· Problem-Solving Abilities: Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to identify improvement opportunities, develop strategies, and implement solutions.

· Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with relevant healthcare regulations, guidelines, and ethical standards. Adherence to patient confidentiality and data protection protocols.

Responsibilities:

· Performance Measurement: Conduct performance measurement activities to assess healthcare quality, timeliness, and access. This includes designing and implementing medical record abstraction tools to collect relevant data for analysis.

· Quality Improvement: Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance Health IT data and patient outcomes. Develop and validate performance improvement projects and studies focused on improving healthcare quality, reducing errors, and optimizing care delivery.

· Data Analysis: Analyze collected data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Interpret data findings and make recommendations to drive performance enhancement and patient safety.

· Collaborative Projects: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders to develop and execute performance improvement projects. Coordinate efforts to implement evidence-based practices and interventions.

· Research and Evaluation: Contribute to the design, conduct, and validation of research studies related to healthcare quality, timeliness, and access. Participate in the development of performance measures and ensure their validity.

· Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, guidelines, and ethical standards in conducting performance measurement and quality improvement activities. Document findings, methodologies, and outcomes accurately and comprehensively.

· Education and Training: Provide education and training to healthcare professionals and staff regarding performance improvement strategies, data abstraction, and quality improvement processes.
