Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for conducting research work under supervision and collaboration and includes maintaining the lab stocks, supplies, ordering and activities outlined in “essential functions”.
The candidate will work independently and also assist with research questions including design, experiments, collection of data, preparation of reagents and set-up, maintenance of equipment, and organizing the lab activities.- Assists with purchasing lab supplies, stocking and equipment/maintenance and will train/orient new personnel on purchasing process and maintain IBC, IRB & IACUC protocols in place.
- Assists in mouse works.
- Performs research assays under direction.
- Performs data entry and maintains data files on research.
- Prepares tissue cultures, reagents, probe tests, etc.
- Carry out compliance including procedures and maintaining required documentation on laboratory and specimen conditions.
- Ensures lab is in sterile/aseptic conditions and equipment/plasmids/cells are properly functional/stored and maintained in accordance with manufacturers' guidelines.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry or closely related field.Required
Experience:
Prior experience in basic/clinical lab is preferred but not required.
