Research Associate - Venenum (Chemistry)
Job description
VENENUM BIODESIGN LLC is dedicated to the discovery and identification of novel small molecule therapeutic products. Venenum is looking for a motivated Research Associate to join our Medicinal Chemistry Department.
This chemist will participate in a multi-disciplinary team and will perform organic synthesis for one or multiple research projects, focusing on hit to lead or lead optimization against novel drug targets. Additionally, this chemist maybe involved in library synthesis of compounds to be included in Venenum’s compound collection, or a collaborative project with a partner company.
Requirements:
- B.S. in Synthetic/Organic Chemistry with 5 years of experience or M.S. in Synthetic/Organic Chemistry with 3 years of experience in an industrial setting
- Hands-on experience in multi-step organic synthesis, purification, and structural characterization is required.
- Familiarity with modern chromatographic techniques, including flash chromatography, preparative scale HPLC, and LCMS is required.
- Experience in parallel synthesis or solid phase chemistry a plus
- Experience in large scale synthesis a plus
