The incoming data will be analyzed in real-time using experimental protocols coded by research staff, implementing closed loop device control using several defined control policies while assessing symptom management.
Additionally, the engineer will join researchers performing intraoperative data collection during human DBS and VNS surgeries. The engineer will setup stimulation and recording equipment and perform experiments while managing time and safety constraints of intraoperative research.
Responsibilities

Perform complex neurological experiments using DBS and VNS.
Thoroughly document experiments performed and participant activities in compliance with HIPPA, FDA and IRB regulation.
Data organization, meta-data labelling and transmission to data partners.

Experience with clinical trials, medical devices and FDA.
Experience with deep brain stimulation or EEG.
Experience with MATLAB, Python or C#.
