The Project Staff Assistant will support the administrative, operational, financial, and human resource functions of the Center for Vision Research. Works closely with the Vice Chair of Research, Executive Administrator, and Chair. Responsible for grant application submissions, grant maintenance and financial date updates and make recommend source of fund for Research staff, resolve occasional balance issues. Will process Research Faculty and staff Recruitment, onboarding and terminating tasks. Coordinate and set up office for projects and events, coordinate building access, lab request for staff and students. Maintain complete and accurate files and personnel records and contact information database for all the Research Division. Track mandatory compliance for research faculty and staff required completion of education course and process student funding change forms. Maintain monthly spreadsheets for funding, expenses, and process reimbursements. Perform other administrative operational duties assigned as needed. As a valued partner in the leadership team, the Research Administrator is expected to function independently with a high level of collaboration, collegiality, diplomacy, and accountability.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree with 2 years’ experience in Business, Health Care administration or related field. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have strong organizational skills, proficient with Microsoft programs, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:Master’s Degree, experience working in an Academic setting strongly preferred.
