Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta, California, is a 120 bed acute-care hospital with the region's only Pediatric Emergency Services team (for children 14 and under) provided by board certified Rady Children’s emergency medicine physicians. Rancho Springs Hospital also provides the area's only OB/Emergency Department program, which gives expectant mothers 24/7 on-site access to OB/GYN physician coverage. The Childbirth Center at Rancho Springs Hospital is the largest in the region and features spacious family-friendly private suites. Rancho's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is operated by Rady Children’s.

Qualifications:
1. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
Ø Ability to communicate effectively and to foster teamwork among fellow staff members.
Ø Ability to exhibit excellent written and verbal skills.
Ø Sound critical thinking skills
Ø Experience demonstrating compliance with all regulatory practices, e.g. HIPAA
Ø Proven expert ability in Respiratory Care Practices.
Ø Knowledge of all special Respiratory and Cardiopulmonary procedures.
Ø Maintains current licenses, credentials, and certificates at all times.
Ø Effective interpersonal and patient skills.
Ø Ability to proctor other RCP’s on clinical competencies and new procedures/products.
2. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
Ø Minimum of 1 year of Acute and Critical Care experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (preferred)
3. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS
Ø High School graduate or equivalent
Ø As of July 10, 2019, must possess Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential granted by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and maintain credential throughout employment tenure
Ø As of July 10, 2019, Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy
4. REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS
Ø Current RCP license from the state of California as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
Ø BLS.Certification
Ø ACLS Certification
Ø NRP Certification
Ø PALS Certification
5. WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ø With minimal supervision, performs all routine and critical Cardiopulmonary procedures with competency.
Ø Assesses workload and ensures adequate staffing levels.
Ø Serves as a technical and clinical resource for physicians and staff.
Ø Acts as liaison to staff and patients as needed.
Ø Evaluates treatment objectives, patient responses, and monitors progress in order to facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to care.
Ø Documents all patient care procedures.
Ø Maintains appropriate supply levels in a cost-effective, clean, and efficient manner.
Ø Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
