Job Description: The Restaurant Manager oversees all daily operations within their assigned shift. They will be responsible in aiding the building and managing of front of house and back of house teams, managing teams through coaching and positive reinforcement, as well as the execution of all company policies, procedures, programs and systems while maintaining a fun and upbeat team atmosphere. The Restaurant Manager must be a confident decision-maker who is highly practiced in the management of teams in a hospitality environment. The Restaurant Manager must be an expert in communication across all walks of life.
The Restaurant Manager supports the business by creating and maintaining a safe and fun environment, while providing a world class hospitality experience to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Train, coach, and manage team members in a manner that maximizes retention; collaborate with your management team to interview and select candidates for hire
- Maintain fast, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensure products are consistent with quality standards
- Anticipate and identify problems; initiate appropriate corrective actions
- Work within a budget based off of projections to ensure profitability
- Assist in the management of the declining budget of controllable expenses including but not limited to, food, beverage, labor, and materials
- Follow company systems and processes for the control of cash, property, product, and equipment
- Oversee and maintain safe working conditions for all team members and guests
- Monitor and reinforce food safety procedures, ensuring these are executed according to policy and health/sanitation regulations
- Maintain inventory levels that reflect projected sales/business
- Take shared ownership of every line item on the P&L and strive to increase gross sales at all times
Qualifications:
- BA in Hospitality, Business Management, a related field, or equivalent restaurant/operations experience
- Previous management/supervisory and mentor experience required
- Ability to hold oneself accountable and achieve goals
- High level of confidence and strong decision maker
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Guest-friendly demeanor; exhibit a sense of urgency; neat, clean, professional appearance
- Capability to use a POS system and troubleshoot issues
- Computer literacy including but not limited to Google Drive applications, the Microsoft Office suite, and other proprietary software systems
