Retail Sales Associate - Pool Store Responsibilities:

Do you enjoy working with your hands and helping customers find the perfect pool or spa supplies? Look no further! Pinch A Penny is seeking a friendly, outgoing store associate to join our team, either part time or full time!

As a Pinch A Penny store associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, maintaining a clean and organized store, and keeping track of inventory. If you have mechanical skills, you can put them to good use, rebuilding cleaners and pumps!! You'll also get to learn all about the ins and outs of the pool and spa industry, from chemicals and filters to pool toys and floats.

No experience is necessary - we'll provide all the training you need. But if you have a background in customer service or retail, that's a plus!

• You must be able to count and make change.
• Diligently learn everything about the products you are selling.
• Work with store management in the opening, closing, and operating of the retail facility. Including but not limited to cash handling, inventory, general housekeeping, and merchandising.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (i.e. weekends and holidays)
• Always project a clean and professional image
• Ensure your working environment is kept clean, safe, and clutter-free.
• Perform water balance testing, accurately, for customers.
• Assist other services and areas when necessary.
• Learn to fix pool cleaners, do a motor swap on a pump and clean salt cells plus more!

Retail Sales Associate - Pool Store Qualifications:

• Great communication skills.
• Be organized, hardworking and dependable.
• Have reliable transportation.
• 1-year prior retail experience. (Preferred but not required)
• Able to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs.)
• Basic computer skills. (We train you to operate our POS system and Water Testing Application)
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Mechanically inclined is a plus!
