Aetna is hiring a Retention Specialist to support the growth of our industry leading Medicare business. Seeking an energetic and motivated candidate for this is a highly collaborative role that will be responsible for developing and implementing the local market operating plan for retaining our currently enrolled Individual Medicare beneficiaries. The Retention Specialist will collaborate closely with local market leadership and the COE to execute a retention strategy involving segment best practices/resources.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 43,700
Maximum: 100,000

- Analyze current membership data and produce reports to develop targeted retention activities that will mitigate lapses and help maintain our current membership.
- Serve as a member relations liaison to ensure an optimal member experience and facilitate and/or co-manage local member experience-related team meetings as well as external member meetings.
- Reviewing market trends and categorizing issues / interventions that will address potential and existing member issues.
- Collaborate with key departments on retention issues and resolution while providing insights or recommendations to market leadership and enterprise stakeholders.
- Organize and facilitate member meetings and education events in collaboration with providers, sales, DSNP, and local community resources.
- Facilitate monthly retention market call.
- Organize, document, distribute, and communicate project materials, including, but limited to the following: project plan, communication plan, project budget, open issues, project status, project outcomes, project requirements, training materials, internal work requests, and report requests.
- Communicate project requirements, status, open issues, and timeline to all team members.
- Maintain and organize work files and projects on SharePoint.
- Raise internal or member concerns with management as necessary.
- Track escalated issues, outstanding tasks, and problem solve as necessary.

Required Qualifications
- Ability to travel up to 50% in the assigned region
- 1-3+ years Medicare experience
- 1 year of account and/or vendor management experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
