Job Summary: Hoskinson Health & Wellness Clinic is a newly founded team-based, physician-led, comprehensive health and wellness clinic in the beautiful area of Gillette, Wyoming. Our company was created to provide prospective healthcare resources to the community and meet the needs of our patient base. To do this effectively, we encourage spending more time with patients through a lower daily patient volume. In addition, we are structured to provide a large variety of additional services to patients in-house, including a compounding pharmacy, lab, mental health and social support, exercise and nutrition support, and general primary care. We are seeking a compassionate Rheumatologist to permanently join our team of Internists, specialists, and other medical staff. Due to increasing demands of complex, chronic, and high risk patient panels, a Rheumatologist is needed to help provide quality care to the community of Gillette. This position will offer a traditional approach to medicine, along with a DPC model.

Your duties will include ensuring long-term, comprehensive, and prospective care is provided for the patient base. This will include the treatment of common and complex disease and collaboration with other team members to effectively diagnose patient cases. A Rheumatologist will be responsible for providing complete, comprehensive clinical care for all patients necessary, including, but not limited to, diagnosis, treatment, and coordination of care, preventative and health care maintenance to patients. You should be proactive in building relationships and recommend specialists when patients require treatment outside your medical purview. Effective teamwork abilities, communication skills, and ethics are highly important at HH&WC. • Prescribing medications to treat conditions such as arthritis or Lupus.
• Conducting physical examinations, including taking x-rays and MRIs as needed to diagnose conditions.
• Performing biopsies to remove tissue samples for analysis by a pathologist or other specialist.
• Providing consultations to other physicians regarding difficult cases that they are unable to diagnose or treat.
• Diagnosing patients with rheumatic diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjogren’s syndrome, scleroderma, and osteoarthritis.
• Performing clinical research to advance the understanding of rheumatic disease (if interested).
• Referring patients to other specialists when appropriate to help them manage their conditions.
• Teaching patients how to manage their condition, work with their physician on a treatment plan, and prevent flare-ups of their disease from occurring.

Benefits and Compensation:

Sign-On Bonus: $30,000 at the commencement date of contract.

Rheumatologist Requirements:

• A medical degree (MD or DO);
• Completion of residency in Rheumatology;
• Possess a medical license practice Rheumatology in the state of Wyoming; or the ability to obtain;
• Board certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine or American Board of Pediatrics; or board eligible;
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities;
• Compassionate and empathetic.
