JOB SUMMARY:

Based within the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Group, the Business Risk Oversight Manager is a key contributor to the build-out and ongoing execution of Seacoast’s Enterprise Risk Management capabilities. This role requires deep banking industry experience, strong theoretical and practical knowledge of risk management, and an aptitude for diplomatic, cross-functional collaboration. Ability to build partnerships and influence stakeholders toward improved risk management outcomes is key to success.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 12+ years risk management experience in a mid-size banking organization;
• 8+ years demonstrated leadership delivering risk management output—RCSAs, KRIs, policy requirement oversight, issues management, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree required;
• Master’s degree strongly preferred;
• Fluency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
• Solid grasp of risk management frameworks, g., COSO, COBIT, Basel, ISO, NIST, etc.
• Ability to leverage others’ expertise and experience in identifying, evaluating and mitigating risk.
• Ability to engage in constructive debate and provide effective challenge at all levels of management to influence business outcomes.
• Excellent interpersonal with the ability to customize communication styles for a wide range of internal stakeholders;
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and committed to persistent follow-up and follow-through.
• Ability to influence multiple stakeholders and engage their support and consensus;
• Sound judgment, reliable intuition, persistent curiosity, and an aversion for loose ends; and
• Well organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Advance and demonstrate tangible results to support key risk management initiatives central to the Bank’s 3-year strategic plan.
• Evolve and implement ERM capabilities and execution to further align with mid-size bank regulatory standards and expectations.
• Champion integration of ERM with Seacoast strategy (selection, planning, and execution), including through appropriate risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver thematic risk assessments, leveraging Seacoast’s ERM Framework and Governance, Risk, and Technology (GRC) software.
• Provide alignment, support, and effective challenge to evolving First Line risk management build-out and execution across business areas (e., Retail, Commercial, Technology and Operations).
• Assist with risk and control monitoring oversight at acquired banks during interim period between legal close and system conversion.
• Develop and deliver periodic reporting to senior leadership and management- and Board-level committee packages, as appropriate; and
• Provide effective challenge, guidance, and counsel in ad hoc engagements on risk management decisions with internal stakeholders.
