Job Description:
Seeking a Registered Nurse to serve in care management as an Administrative Supervisor at our 32nd Avenue Building in Fargo. This nurse generally works 12-hour shifts, either day shifts starting at 7 am or night shifts starting at 7 pm. This casual, PRN position requires a minimum of 12 hours a month, including one weekend shift per quarter, and one winter and one summer holiday. This professional nurse monitors the ins and outs of the hospital, manages the throughput of the hospital on a daily basis, brings in patients from outlying facilities, and is involved in transfers out to higher levels of care. Manages bed placement and movement to ensure the right patient is in the right bed at the right time. Must be able to facilitate conversations between multiple areas and step into a leadership role and facilitate, utilizing problem solving skills of all kinds when needed. Will also assist staffing coordinators with staffing the hospital units. The ideal candidate is willing to jump in and learn quickly, has good people skills and can stay calm under pressure. This position requires someone who can multitask and is willing to find solutions and bring forth ideas. A positive, can-do attitude is essential. This RN is responsible for administrative oversight of patient care provided for patients in the facility using the policies and procedures of Essentia Health. Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.
Education Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree obtained within 3 years of hire.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• Nursing license in the state of ND.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required or ability to obtain within 1 month.
• Minimum of 2 years acute care RN experience.
• Must obtain nursing license in the state of MN within one year of hire.

The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package. The offer will be determined by a number of factors including the selected candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, FTE, as well as internal equity among our team.
