TurnKey Network Solutions is a privately held telecommunications contractor specializing in the engineering, installation, and maintenance of local and long haul telecommunications networks, facilities, and equipment.
We are looking for a Safety Coordinator to help prevent job-related safety accidents. The position monitors operations to eliminate hazardous activities, administers safety and training programs to promote occupational health and safety awareness. Safety coordinator should be well-versed in OSH regulation research. The coordinator's work will be focused on prevention so there is a strong need to be diligent and analytical with a sensitivity for potential dangers. The goal is to support and facilitate a healthy and safe workplace. Traits of a successful candidate include a deep commitment and understanding of a safe workplace, curiosity, helpful, credibility, teacher, action oriented, and the ability to facilitate collaboration. We support Behavior Safety approach.
Responsibilities
- Advise on provisions to minimize safety risks
- Maintain, expand and enforce Company safety program
- Direct accident investigation procedures
- Keep records of safety-related incidents
- Complete safety administrative processes
- Organize and conduct safety training activities
- Collaborate with team to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
- Intervene in unsafe activities or operations
- Maintain records, follow up and conduct jobsite safety audits, job hazard analysis, and other related inspections.
Skills
- Proven experience or education in safety function
- In-depth knowledge of OSH guidelines and practices
- Experience or education in reporting and developing processes
- Experience or education in implementing OSH training programs
- Proficient in MS Office
- Excellent communication and advisory skills
- Diligent with an analytical mind
- Construction excavation experience, telecommunication ISP/OSP preferred
