Sales and Marketing Director

Position Summary

The Sale and Marketing Director is responsible for leading and managing the sales and marketing functions at long term care communities operated by Certus Living. This includes entrance fee and rental continuum care retire communities (CCRC), Independent
Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing. The primary responsibility is to drive and ensure census goals are achieved at all communities. This is accomplished by lead generation and execution on sales.

Reports To

Director reports to C-suite at Certus Living, and directly to COO.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

1) Build annual sales and marketing plans budget for each community needed to achieve census goals.

2) Drive lead generation and follow through with onsite teams to assure successful lead generation vs closing ratio.

3) Interact directly with Certus Living managed community onsite teams providing sales and marketing coaching and mentoring.

4) Structure weekly performance goals with onsite teams to assure objectives are being met.

5) Provides direction on marketing efforts to maximize lead generation at communities managed by Certus Living.

6) Assists with tracking and trending marketing data for analysis to provide recommendations and direction for marketing efforts.

7) Works as a liaison between marketing vendors to ensure timelines are met, creative work meets expectations, and vendor is providing optimal service that meets and exceeds identified goals.

8) Lead Certus Living managed communities with design and recommendations for marketing collateral development.

9) Oversees digital marketing efforts and provides recommendations on SEO,
AdWords, Geofencing, social media, and other optimization efforts that maximizes digital and lead generation exposure.

10) Monitor’s Certus Living managed communities’ marketing spend and provide recommendations on efficient and effective use of funds to maximize lead generation and marketing efforts.

11) Be efficient in the client relationship management (CRM) tool being utilized by all
Certus Living properties. Manage onsite team’s usage of CRM to educate and make sure they are proficient.

12) Set weekly target call-out, email, visits expectations with onsite team members and confirm weekly through CRM input.

13) Visit communities one time per month to meet with team members and keep a pulse on property performance and their respective market.

14) Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

15) Adheres to all policies and procedures of Certus Living managed communities.

16) Encourages teamwork through cooperative interaction with co-workers and other departments.

17) Supports a positive and professional image through action and dress.
18) Performs all other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

Works in office areas as well as throughout the community. Sits, stands, bends, lift, and moves intermittently during working hours. Interacts with residents, family members, staff, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions/circumstances. May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, staff, visitors, etc. under all conditions/circumstances. May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, and substances. Communicates verbally and in writing with confidentiality with senior management, supervisor, peers, and all team members of the community. Maintains a liaison with residents, their families, support staff, etc. to assure that the residents' needs are continually met, and expectations exceeded.

1) Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
2) Upbeat and positive interaction is a must.
3) Must be caring and compassionate in working with vendors, Certus Living stakeholders, residents as well as staff.
4) Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with outstanding customer service skills with all levels of management, employees and outside contacts.
5) Must have the ability and good judgment to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
6) Must have the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.

Recommended Minimum Position Qualifications

1. Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to communicate and present in person, in writing, and on the telephone.
Must be an effective presenter with both large and small groups.

2. A Bachelor’s degree is required

3. Five years sales and marketing experience in senior living or a related field required.

4. Five years organizational or management experience supervising others is preferable.

5. Familiar with adherence to guidelines related to the Fair Housing Act (FHA) and the American Disability Act (ADA) regulations in all aspects of job including sales presentations and marketing materials.

6. Skill in use of computer software including CRMs, WORDPRESS, Microsoft Office applications

7. Must be able to generate a warm, friendly and caring manner on first impression
8. Maintains working knowledge of regulations that impact the industry
9. Experience in digital marketing efforts that have resulted in lead generation maximization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
