Position: Sales Representative Salary Range: $55,000 base salary plus UNCAPPED commissions. First year Target Compensation is $70 – 75,000, including commissions, growing thereafter

The Key People (TKP) is a commercial janitorial service founded in 1973. We are largely a sales, marketing, and administrative company consisting of a small group of sales representatives, customer service representatives and accounting personnel dedicated to building long term relationships with our clients and cleaning contractors. TKP partners with small, local janitorial business owners to clean buildings that we obtain contracts for.

The Sale Representative will be focused on new customer acquisition, while maintaining and servicing an existing customer base. The Sales Rep will provide customers an excellent customer experience, will address and resolve any complaints or issues as they arise in a timely manner, develop a target list of new customers, prepare quotes and bids, coordinate and help schedule cleaning services, meet and visit with customers and independent cleaning contractors, in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties:
- Prospects, cultivates and qualifies new customer opportunities and be able to communicate a formal prospecting plan. Create market awareness offering through prospecting, networking, presentations and trade association meetings.
- Develops and implements the agreed upon business plan for a specific territory that will focus on key target markets and sales growth
- Work collaboratively with management team and staff to identify new opportunities.
- Establishes written formal sales goals and meeting regularly with the VP Sales/CEO to gauge personal progress against said goals and provides monthly updates on sales pipeline and new target accounts.
- Keep the company informed on competitor pricing, promotional matter, sales techniques, pricing and market policies.
- Maintain existing customer base, looking for opportunities to further grow the relationship and creating win/win opportunities for the customer, company and independent/sub-contractors.
- Acts as “our customer’s best service provider” at all times thereby ensuring the organization is the customer’s first choice for service. Work collaboratively with customer service and office staff to ensure that the customer’s expectations are exceeded.
- Meets directly with customers to establish needs and drive the overall sales process.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
- The position is a field-based position with regular visits to customers and work sites in the field. The employee regularly performs work-related travel within their region.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- BS/BA degree preferred, or minimum 5 years related experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop and grow a territory
